Our Leadership Team at Market Insight Corporation


Rich Falcone is President and CEO
Rich brings a strong track record of success in “growth stage” leadership for technology companies.  He has held senior executive roles in both public and private entities, focused in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Telecom, IPTV / Streaming, Market Intelligence & Web based Commerce sectors.  His leadership value extends to all aspects of company growth including market and revenue development, engineering and products, finance and capital.  Noteworthy are his early career at Nortel (telecom); later driving accelerated revenue growth at Telenex (data networking -now Inrange); and as a senior officer at Amnis Systems/Optivision (public offering - video streaming over IP).  He has significant global experience, leading business development in both Asia and Europe.

Rich holds a Masters Degree in Business from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and a BS in Mathematics from Villanova University in Villanova, PA, USA. He was elected to the prestigious Pi Mu Epsilon national honor society, and selected for post graduate executive simulation sponsored by the Wharton School.


 Ted Lee is Vice President of Engineering
With over 13 years of experience in web applications technology, Ted Lee leads the software development, product engineering, and data/technical operations for MyProductAdvisor.com's consumer and client-facing sites. He has been with the company since its inception in 2003. Prior to joining MyProductAdvisor.com, he held software architecture positions at Startups.com and Dynaptics. Both companies sought to use advanced mathematics and algorithms in a web-based context to match consumers or businesses with appropriate products or services. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University in 1996, and his A.B. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jim Weisinger is Vice President of Intelligence Services
Jim works directly with our customers to ensure that they fully leverage the market intelligence provided by MyProductAdvisor.com.  He brings to these interactions over 30 years experience as a consultant and a mathematical modeler.  From 2000-2002, Jim served as Vice President of Client Services for Paramark, a company focused on the optimization of online advertising.  Prior to Paramark, he was a Principal at Applied Decision Analysis (later PriceWaterhouseCoopers).  At ADA, he led the firm’s account with General Motors, conducting market research and building market models in the U.S., Asia, and Europe.  Jim received both a Ph.D. and an A.B. in mathematics from Harvard University.

Mike Harnack is Vice President of Sales
Mike has successfully led sales, marketing and business development initiatives for technology companies for almost 30 years.  From 2003-2007 he advanced new wireless solutions within consumer electronics markets for Serconet, Inc, as Sr. Vice President of Business Development. Prior to Serconet, Mike was Vice President of Sales at Charles Industries ($100M) where he spearheaded programs to introduce new broadband access technologies into consumer markets for the nation’s largest telcos and service providers. Mike has held senior sales and marketing management positions at Paradyne, General Signal Networks, and Racal Electronics.

Richard Smallwood is a Founder and Chief Scientist
Prior to MyProductAdvisor.com,  Dick was President of Applied Decision Analysis, Inc from 1979 to 1999.  He was the founder and manager of the Analysis Research Group at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (Xerox PARC) from 1971 to 1979. From 1964 to 2000, he served on the Stanford University faculty in various roles and received a tenure appointment in 1973. He co-founded “The Art of Mathematical Modeling” in 1973, and has served on the Stanford School of Engineering Advisory Council. Dr. Smallwood received his Sc.D. in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T. with his dissertation, “A Decision Structure for Teaching Machines.” He also received his S.M. and S.B. in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T.

Vince Barabba is a Founder and Chairman of the Board
Until 2003 Vince was the General Manager, Corporate Strategy and Knowledge Development of GM. He conceived the unbiased product advisor, and brings considerable experience in the collection and use of market information, having twice served as Director of the U.S. Bureau of the Census. He was Manager of Market Research for the Xerox Corporation and Director of Market Intelligence for Eastman Kodak. Vince has been inducted into the Market Research Hall of Fame. He received the AMA's Parlin Award for leadership in the application of science to the discipline of marketing research, the MIT/GM Henry Grady Weaver Award for individuals who have contributed the most to the advancement of theory and practice in Marketing Science. He is the author of Surviving Transformation (2004 Oxford) and Meeting of the Minds (1995 HBS Press). He is the co-author of Hearing the Voice of the Market (1991 HBS Press) and The 1980 Census Policy Making Amid Turbulence (1983 Lexington Books).

Matt Miller serves on the Board
Matt is a Managing Director at Walden Venture Capital.  Walden Venture Capital seeks to become partners with managements that have best in class technologies, unique approaches, address high growth markets and value capital efficiency.  Matt has 20+ years of management experience, including 14 years at Silicon Valley software companies.  He joined Walden from Moai Technologies, a Walden portfolio company. As CEO of Moai, Matt helped to build revenues to over $14 million and focused the company on enterprise customers. Before Moai, Matt served as VP & General Manager at Remedy Corp.
